Yesenia- Founder/ Education Director
Yesenia, a native New Yorker, founded Young Risers in May 2013. Her eight years of experience in NYC private schools exposed her to the Reggio Approach, inspiring her to create a school offering this enriching learning experience to families in her community. Yesenia holds a Master of Science in Special Education from Concordia College and is a New York State certified Early Childhood Education Professional.
Raul- Executive Director
Raul has lived in Sunset Park since 1988. He values his family and community and understands the need of quality child care. He worked for a private hedge fund in Manhattan for 17 years. Along side his wife, Yesenia, he is now devoted to the growth of Young Risers and instilling the schools vision and mission within their community.
Adriel- Operations Director
Adriel is known for his strong communication skills and his ability to build meaningful relationships with families, staff, and children. His vibrant personality and nurturing demeanor make him a beloved figure in our community. Having created the original Young Risers logo at just five years old, he symbolizes the lasting connection and pride of a true family business. His commitment to loyalty, shared vision, and long-term stability strengthens our foundation—cultivating trust, communication, and a sense of purpose that will continue to guide Young Risers for generations to come.

Our Infant-Toddler Teachers share a deep understanding of the unique joys, curiosities, and developmental needs of our youngest learners. - Tiana started at Young Risers over two years ago as a fieldwork student. She brings a wealth of knowledge and a true passion for early childhood development. She holds a Bachelor's in Early Childhood from Brooklyn College.

Noemi & Jhoan
They nurture a love for learning by offering children meaningful opportunities for hands-on exploration. They value each child’s individuality and support their holistic growth within our classroom community. Together they create a warm learning environment where children are encouraged to explore, connect, and thrive every day. Through the Creative Curriculum, they thoughtfully integrate children’s interests while meeting DOE guidelines.
- Noemi brings over three years of experience as an Assistant Teacher in early childhood settings. As a Study Plan Teacher with an Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, Noemi continues to build her professional knowledge while creating a nurturing and engaging classroom environment where each child feels valued and supported.
- Jhoan joins our team with a joyful spirit and a fresh perspective. His enthusiasm for teaching and genuine love for children shine through in his interactions, as he helps foster a positive, inclusive, and dynamic classroom atmosphere.
